Sara Ganem was born on January 20, 1992 and grew up in Athens. She is half Greek – her mother’s side – and half-African, as her father was born and raised in Cairo, Egypt. From an early age, her parents realized her love and passion for dancing. At their advice she started taking ballet classes when she was four years old and later she developed her skills in rhythmic gymnastics.
At the age of 10, she was selected for the 2004 Olympics’ team of rhythmic gymnastics competition. However she soon quit, choosing to pursue dance classes mainly in Street Styles, since her greatest influence has always been - and still is - the artist Michael Jackson. From that day on, she has been committed all the way in these genres, as her first love was Krump influenced by the documentary ‘’Rize’’ and Hip Hop (Party Dance) also influenced by the movie ‘’You Got Served’’.
At the same time Sara practiced so hard with other Street Styles such as Breaking, House, Afro Dances, Locking, Popping, Contemporary, Cuban Salsa, Modern Jazz, Commercial, on the side of masters such as Elite Force Crew, Mr.Wiggles, Tight Eyez, Serrial Steppers, Terry Brooklyn, Kelly Peters etc. In the part of Modern Jazz Theater she has obtained the international degrees of the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (ISTD) at Advance 1 level, while until today she continues the training of these degrees at higher levels, with the aim of her absolute development in dance.
In 2012, she attended a Dancehall course as a rookie with Groovin Skull for the first time, where she realized that she wanted to specialize in it. In 2013, she traveled to France (Paris), where she also attended various classes with many teachers such as Laure Courtellemont, Camron OneShot, Lil Gbb, Dafne Bianchi, Animal, Blaakow etc. Then, she officially started to teach in Greece in the summer of 2013, along with hosting for many years the greatest Dancehall Festival ‘’Tun It Up’’ by inviting tutors from Jamaica, Europe, Russia, and America.
Later on, having visited the source and birthplace of Dancehall, that is Jamaica, for a number of times, she entered the World Competition ‘’Dancehall Master World 2016’’ in Paris, and she took the world by storm by nailing the 1st award in the category ‘’Best Solo Dancehall Choreography’’. This title she won, made Greece stand out abroad for the first time as it gave her the opportunity to teach at major Dancehall Dance Conferences around the world, in many cities and countries such as England, France, Italy, Spain, Austria, Poland, Kazakhstan, Egypt and Russia.
Furthermore in addition to her dedication to the development of Dancehall in Greece, she has trained her students for years where today they teach successfully and she has founded the crews Bumaye (Athens), Unity Vybz (Athens), Fame Killaz (Kalamata), Fame Flames (Kalamata) . She also, danced on big stages next to Greek artists such as: Melisses, Tamta, Konstantinos Argyros, Ivi Adamou, Elias Vrettos, George Mazonakis and others. Apart of her love for teaching and her personal development, she has taken part as a choreographer but also as a dancer in many video clips of Greek artists such as Claydee, Mente Fuerte, Sapranov, Saske, N.O..E. , DJ Silence, OGE, Don Musah, Alexander Lupa, Babou G, Panoς Kiamos, Nadia Aggeletou, Antigoni Psihrami and more, she has also danced abroad in a live performance of Major Lazer in Paris, in a video clip medley of Beenie Man in Jamaica and has chorographed a video clip of Lariss (from Poland).
Last but not least, from 2018 she officially collaborates with ‘’Nike’’ as Official Nike Girl Greece, in 2021 she took part in the official campaign of the ‘’Havana Club in collaboration with Athens Hood Boycott’’ and from 2021 she studies at the Hellenic Education and Training Company ‘’4Epsilon’’ of Athens in the department of dance therapy.
